Startup Definition & Certification

A Startup is a recently established company, characterized by rapid growth, agility and innovation, and aims to introduce or develop new products or services or business models into the market

The initial certification is valid for three years, after which it is renewed every two years, and up to seven years from the company’s date of establishment. In the event of an appeal, the company may submit a request to the independent legal committee formed within the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), subject to a refundable fee upon acceptance of the appeal, to ensure seriousness of submission.
