Objective of the Programme
While early-stage startups are essential to innovation, scale-ups represent the strongest evidence of the maturity and success of Egypt’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. They form the most credible pipeline for future unicorns, as companies that are ready for IPOs or strategic exits, capable of attracting institutional capital, and prepared for regional and international expansion.
This programme addresses the need for targeted government strategic intervention and proactive international positioning. Eligible companies should be selected annually through a performance-driven process, based on demonstrated traction, scalable growth potential, and a clear readiness.
Scope of Intervention
Streamlining regulatory and administrative interfaces: Providing structured, senior-level government engagement to efficiently resolve bureaucratic frictions encountered by scaling companies.
Enabling exit and liquidity pathways: Facilitating IPO readiness, public listing preparation, and other strategic liquidity options aligned with each company’s growth trajectory.
Addressing structural and regulatory constraints: Maintaining ongoing coordination with senior decision-makers to proactively resolve direct and indirect issues impacting scale and expansion.
Expanding access to capital and market opportunities: Enabling strategic partnerships with government and private-sector stakeholders to accelerate market entry and growth and creating direct pathways to local, regional and international investors.
Enhancing visibility and institutional standing: Positioning high-performing companies as national champions and showcasing their achievements at regional and international levels.
